You feel like ‘there just has to be more…’
More use of your skills.
More ability to better balance friends, family, social life and work.
More of doing what lights you up.
You have decided you no longer want to live life on the treadmill of mediocrity.
You might be feeling a bit lost. Not really sure what you want to do.
You may be a Mum who wants to balance family with fulfilling and career enhancing work.
Or you may not have children and want to balance your work life with your social relationships, interests and pursuing that dream that just has to come out sometime.
Or you may be at the point where you think it is time to think about making a change-maybe even a big one!
You don’t want to be boxed in.
You may have a good job, but it doesn’t totally fulfill you. And sometimes it even wears you out.
You may have a crap job that you want to leave!
Your skills aren’t really being used and you find yourself going through many days with a mixture of emotions.
If you are a mother, you know that some of that includes ‘mother guilt’ which would be much less if your time away from your children was doing something that you loved and you felt valued your skills.
If you are in your 20’s or 30’s you may hear people say ‘When will you settle down?’ or ‘Just be grateful you have a job’ or worse ‘No, that idea is too risky, play it safe, just stay where you are.’
You might be in your 40’s or beyond and feel like it is now or never to finally make that change you’ve thought about for awhile.
And yet deep down there’s
that you know wants to be birthed.
And at the very least you don’t want to be sentenced to the ordinary life of day in and day out same old same old that does not light you up. And maybe settling down is over-rated. (hint: I think it can be!)
Surely there must be more.
Some days it feels like you are on a treadmill of mediocrity.
Just getting out of the house or the apartment is like a day’s work at times-partly because you aren’t looking forward to work- and then fighting traffic or long bus or train rides makes you wonder if it is worth it.
Surely there has to be a better way. A way that won’t make you feel like many days you are walking in a glazed eye trance with one more day on the hamster wheel.
You may have a good job. And wonder if you should just be grateful for that, but there is that nagging feeling you are at a career crossroads and may be able to find something more in line with the real you. Maybe you are in a job where you are overlooked or not treated in a way that truly values you.
If you are in your 20’s or 30’s you’ve perhaps watched your parents be shafted by their workplaces after years of service. No thanks.
If you are in your 40’s, 50’s or 60’s you may feel like it is finally your time to be truly fulfilled in your professional life.
Something tells you the rules have changed and you need to find someone who will help you make your own rules. I can help you with that.
Someone who believes in you.
Someone who will give you a voice–and first maybe help you find your voice.
Highly values your life experience and not measure it in years but in wisdom gained and resilience built.
You have it in you.
You know it.
You just have to find the right place and people to help you get there.
I’ve been there.
In my 20’s and 30’s and even now well beyond those years, I was and still am a free spirit. Not wanting to be tied down to the 9-5 grind. I wanted to move around – and I did! I wanted to try different jobs–and I did! And managers and relatives would often say ‘so when are you going to settle down?’ or ‘When will you get a real job?-that was even when I had my own consulting business’ ‘My you are a job hopper, that won’t be good for your record’.
When I was a mother, I had a one year full-time Senior Manager contract. When that finished, the Managing Director said to me, ‘So Linda, you’ve done a great job and I can get you any job in our huge network of organisations. Tell me, who in five years time do you want to say ‘that Linda Chaousis, she’s a real asset to us’. Without skipping a beat, I said ‘that’s easy, my two daughters’. He just about choked as he said ‘Well that is very career limiting’. I told him that was my choice as a parent and I only had one chance to raise my daughters and wanted to do it my way, which at that time was to work part time.
And as it turns out….
All evidence to the contrary, even all those years ago when things were much less flexible.
I landed dream job-mostly-after dream job in locations I longed to live in.
I was able to be home with my daughters many days after school and during school holidays. And got paid for doing what I loved!
Right now I’m teaching at a University and have just transitioned from Management Consulting to helping people find their path and get noticed for the right reasons in the right way. I have already helped many do that.
So I don’t think my free spirit ways hurt me at all. I think they helped me.
You want to be recognised.
You want to be given opportunities.
And if you are a parent, you want to be the type of parent you desire to be–however that looks.
If you are a Uni grad, you may want to work in your field for a few years and then do something totally different-and not be judged for it or told you are ‘wasting your degree’.
If you are in your forties you probably are starting to reflect on where you have been and make some changes if you feel you’re just going through the motions at work.
My ‘why’ of what I do is to help encourage people to see their strengths. Find their path. Map out the next steps to take them to what they truly desire.
It’s time to start. Time to unpack those dreams and goals and set the path. Map it out and find how to get noticed for the right reasons in the right way by the right people to get you from where you are to where you want to go.
A Find Your Path session will help you get clarity, direction and practical actionable steps to get you moving in the direction you want. It will also help you align your thoughts, beliefs and emotions to further super charge the path to you aspired goals and dreams.

I thoroughly enjoyed being coached by Linda. She was gentle in her guidance but asked the right questions to get me thinking and taking action. I always felt 100% comfortable and had no trouble opening up to her. If it wasn’t for our coaching sessions, I would still no doubt be procrastinating over getting my parent course certification. Linda was there to keep me accountable, but not by being at all pushy, just allowing me to understand what stood in my way and how I could overcome it. I highly recommend Linda and her coaching style. She is so natural and genuinely caring.

My conversations with Linda were very helpful. Underpinned by her attitude of encouragement and genuine interest, Linda listened and allowed my ideas to unfold without rushing to find neat solutions. She also gave clear and specific advice when that was what I asked for. I came away from each meeting with focus, some next steps and, most importantly, enthusiasm to recognise and take opportunities and see what happens next.

In the coaching sessions with Linda I felt genuinely supported and gently guided to find a deeper understanding with clarity and empowerment within me. She has such a rare gentle, kind and special style, that allowed me to feel respected and safe, fully supported and nurtured, and at the same time hold accountable but not pressured. Working with Linda allowed me to raise my awareness and move beyond what had been hindering me. I would highly recommend Linda to anyone looking for that special safe place and great genuine support to go beyond the surface and really move forward. Thank you very much Linda!
